DEVCON 8 PARENTAL CONSENT AND RELEASE TERMS

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS BEFORE ALLOWING YOUR CHILD/WARD TO PURCHASE A TICKET TO, ATTEND, OR PARTICIPATE IN DEVCON 8.

The Ethereum Foundation will host Devcon 8 in Mumbai, India from 3 to 6 November 2026 (“Devcon”).

These parental consent and release terms (“Terms”) are issued by Stiftung Ethereum, a Swiss Foundation located at Zeughausgasse 7a, 6300 Zug, Switzerland (“EF”, “We”, or “Us”), and apply to any parent or legal guardian who consents to their child or ward under the age of 18 (the “Minor”) purchasing a ticket to, attending, accessing, or participating in Devcon (the “Parent/Guardian”).

By submitting the relevant online consent form, the Parent/Guardian agrees to these Terms on behalf of themselves and, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Minor.

GENERAL
1. The Parent/Guardian represents and warrants that they are the parent or legal guardian of the Minor and have full legal authority to accept these Terms and to give the consents, releases, waivers, and undertakings set out in these Terms on behalf of themselves and, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Minor.
2. The Parent/Guardian approves of and gives permission for the Minor to purchase a ticket to, attend, access, and participate in Devcon.
3. The Parent/Guardian understands that the Minor’s attendance of and participation in Devcon is voluntary.
4. The Parent/Guardian understands and agrees that the Minor’s purchase of a ticket to, attendance at, access to, and participation in Devcon are subject to the Devcon 8 Ticket Sale Terms and Conditions, the Devcon 8 Privacy Notice, the Website Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the Attendee Code of Conduct, the Attendee Media Policy and Media Code of Conduct, and all other rules, policies, guidelines, instructions, and requirements incorporated therein or issued by EF from time to time (together, the “Devcon Terms”).
5. The Parent/Guardian agrees to ensure that the Minor understands and complies with these Terms and the Devcon Terms. The Parent/Guardian further agrees to be responsible for the Minor’s compliance with these Terms and the Devcon Terms.
6. The Parent/Guardian understands and agrees that EF does not provide supervision, chaperoning, guardianship, or other care services for minors at Devcon. The Parent/Guardian is solely responsible for ensuring that appropriate supervision, care, transport, accommodation, emergency arrangements, and other support are in place for the Minor at all times.
7. EF may require the Parent/Guardian and/or the Minor to provide identity verification, age verification, parental or guardianship verification, ticket verification, security screening, or other checks as a condition of ticket purchase, registration, check-in, admittance to, attendance of, or participation in Devcon. Failure or refusal to complete any such checks may result in refusal of admittance, expulsion, cancellation of the Minor’s ticket, or revocation of the Minor’s Wristband or other credentials without refund.
8. The Parent/Guardian agrees that submission of the relevant online consent form, including by electronic signature, checkbox confirmation, typed name, or other electronic acceptance method made available by EF, constitutes the Parent/Guardian’s binding acceptance of these Terms.
TRAVEL, VISAS, AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. The Parent/Guardian is solely responsible for all costs, arrangements, and legal requirements arising out of or relating to the Minor’s attendance of Devcon. This includes, but is not limited to, passports, visas, entry permits, immigration permissions, security clearances, health requirements, travel documents, insurance, transport, accommodation, supervision, and all related needs and expenses.
2. EF does not provide immigration, visa, travel, tax, legal, or other professional advice. Any information, letter, acknowledgement, confirmation, or other document that EF may provide in connection with Devcon is provided for administrative convenience only and does not guarantee that the Minor will receive a visa, be allowed to board any transport, be allowed to enter the country in which Devcon is held, or be allowed to remain in that country.
3. EF shall bear no liability if the Parent/Guardian or the Minor fails to make appropriate arrangements, obtains the wrong visa or entry permission, is denied a visa, is refused boarding or entry, is detained, removed, required to leave the country in which Devcon is held, or is otherwise unable to attend Devcon.
ADMITTANCE, WRISTBANDS, AND EVENT CONTROL
1. The Parent/Guardian understands and agrees that the Minor must hold a valid ticket and valid credentials issued by EF to be admitted to and/or attend Devcon.
2. Tickets, order confirmations, Wristbands, QR codes, badges, passes, and any other credentials issued by EF are personal revocable licences, remain the sole property of EF, and are subject to the Devcon Terms. They do not confer any property right, entitlement, or guaranteed right of admission.
3. EF may, in its sole discretion and without refund or other liability, refuse admittance to, remove, expel, suspend, or ban the Minor from present or future events in accordance with the Devcon Terms, including for any breach or suspected breach of these Terms, the Devcon Terms, the Attendee Code of Conduct, or any instruction or requirement issued by EF, the venue, service providers, security personnel, or applicable authorities.
4. The Parent/Guardian understands and agrees that if EF requires the Minor to leave Devcon, the Minor must immediately leave the venue and any other designated Devcon area. The Parent/Guardian shall be responsible for collecting, supervising, or arranging for the supervision of the Minor where required.
CHANGES TO THE EVENT
1. Devcon is a multi-day conference subject to the needs and requirements of, without limitation, the venue, location, local authorities, attendees, speakers, sponsors, supporters, administration, safety, security, legal compliance, and operations. The Parent/Guardian understands and agrees that EF may, at its sole discretion, alter, restrict, postpone, reschedule, relocate, or cancel any aspect of Devcon, including, but not limited to, the content, programme, format, sessions, speakers, moderators, venue, rooms, capacity, access rules, health or safety requirements, dates, and timings without notice and without refund, except where required by applicable law or expressly decided by EF.
2. EF may implement safety, security, health, access, or other measures, including those mandated by applicable law, instructed by local authorities, or required by the venue or service providers. Compliance with such measures may be mandatory for ticket purchase, registration, check-in, admittance to, attendance of, or participation in Devcon.
3. EF may amend, supplement, replace, or issue additional policies, rules, guidelines, instructions, or requirements relating to Devcon at any time, including for legal, regulatory, safety, security, operational, venue, community, or administrative reasons. Compliance with such policies, rules, guidelines, instructions, and requirements may be mandatory for ticket purchase, registration, check-in, admittance to, attendance of, or participation in Devcon.
PHOTOGRAPHY, RECORDING, LIVE STREAMING, AND VIDEO RECORDING
1. The Parent/Guardian acknowledges and agrees that EF may use images or videos taken at Devcon for present and future marketing, archival, educational, community, and event-related materials, including images or videos that may include the Minor’s image or likeness, subject to the Devcon Terms and applicable media policies.
2. If the Parent/Guardian does not wish the Minor to appear in media images or videos at Devcon, the Parent/Guardian shall review and comply with the Attendee Media Policy and any applicable opt-out or media preference procedure made available by EF.
3. The Parent/Guardian understands and agrees that the Minor may not record, stream, or otherwise broadcast audio or video of any and all sessions at Devcon except as permitted under the Devcon Terms or applicable media policies. The Parent/Guardian further understands and agrees that the Minor is responsible for compliance with all applicable intellectual property, privacy, and publicity laws, rules, and regulations.
PRIVACY AND PERSONAL DATA
1. The Parent/Guardian acknowledges and agrees that EF may process personal data relating to the Parent/Guardian and the Minor in connection with the Minor’s ticket purchase, registration, check-in, admittance, attendance, participation, safety, security, and administration of Devcon, in accordance with the Devcon 8 Privacy Notice and the Devcon Terms.
2. Such personal data may include the Minor’s name, contact details, ticket purchase information, eligibility information, age or identity verification information, parental or guardianship consent information, and any other information reasonably required for the purposes set out in the Devcon 8 Privacy Notice and the Devcon Terms.
3. The Parent/Guardian understands and agrees that such personal data may be processed by EF and by third-party platforms, service providers, verification providers, identity verification providers, sanctions screening providers, venue operators, security providers, and other persons involved in the administration, safety, security, and operation of Devcon, in each case as described in the Devcon 8 Privacy Notice and the Devcon Terms.
4. The Parent/Guardian consents, to the extent such consent is required by applicable law, to EF’s processing of the Minor’s personal data for the purposes of administering the Minor’s ticket purchase, registration, check-in, admittance to, attendance of, and participation in Devcon.
5. The Parent/Guardian understands that failure to provide required personal data, consents, confirmations, or verification information may prevent the Minor from purchasing a ticket to, attending, accessing, or participating in Devcon.
FORCE MAJEURE
EF shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in the performance of its obligations under these Terms or the Devcon Terms to the extent that such delay or failure is caused by any event, circumstance, or cause beyond EF’s reasonable control, including, but not limited to, fire, flood, earthquakes, strike, civil, governmental, or military authority, acts of God, acts of terrorism, acts of war, disease, epidemics or pandemics, blackouts, insurrections, riots, civil disturbances, electrical disruptions, third-party injunctions, the unavailability of all or part of the venue, or any other event, circumstance, or cause that makes it illegal, impossible, or impracticable for Devcon, or any part of Devcon, to be held, operated, or made available as planned. For one or more of such reasons, EF may postpone, reschedule, relocate, modify, restrict, or cancel any part of or the entirety of Devcon without liability on its part. In the event any part of or the entirety of Devcon cannot be held, operated, or made available as planned, or is postponed, rescheduled, relocated, modified, restricted, or cancelled pursuant to this section, EF shall not be liable to the Parent/Guardian or the Minor for any incidental, consequential, special, direct, or indirect damages, costs, or losses incurred, including, but not limited to, transportation costs, accommodation costs, visa costs, insurance costs, or financial losses. EF will review refund or fee transfer requests submitted in writing on a case-by-case basis.
PRESENTATIONS, VIEWS, AND MATERIALS
1. The Parent/Guardian acknowledges and agrees that the views expressed by any Devcon attendee, speaker, sponsor, supporter, exhibitor, or other participant should not be taken as those of EF. All Devcon attendees, speakers, sponsors, supporters, exhibitors, and other participants are solely responsible for the content of any and all of their own presentations, publications, statements, activities, and related materials. The presence of any person, project, protocol, product, service, or other initiative at Devcon does not constitute EF’s endorsement, recommendation, approval, verification, or support of that person, project, protocol, product, service, or initiative.
2. As Devcon is an educational conference, none of the presentations, publications, statements, activities, or related materials at or in connection with Devcon should be taken as investment, financial, trading, tax, legal, regulatory, accounting, or other professional advice, or as any offer, solicitation, recommendation, inducement, or promotion to buy, sell, subscribe for, hold, or otherwise deal in any investment, security, financial product, or regulated product or service.
3. The Parent/Guardian acknowledges and agrees, on behalf of themselves and the Minor, that EF gives no warranties in respect of any aspect of Devcon or any materials relating to or offered at Devcon and, to the fullest extent possible under applicable law, disclaims all implied warranties, including, but not limited to, warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, timeliness, or merchantability. Devcon is provided on an “as-is” basis. Neither EF nor its affiliates accept any responsibility or liability for reliance by the Parent/Guardian, the Minor, or any person on any aspect of Devcon or any information provided at Devcon.
PERSONAL INJURY, LOSS, AND INDEMNIFICATION
1. The Parent/Guardian acknowledges and agrees, on behalf of themselves and the Minor, that the Minor attends, accesses, and participates in Devcon at their own risk. The Parent/Guardian and the Minor assume all risk and danger of personal injury, death, property damage, property loss, and all other hazards and losses arising from or related in any way to Devcon, whether occurring prior to, during, or after Devcon.
2. To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, the Parent/Guardian, on behalf of themselves and the Minor, releases EF and its respective directors, officers, council members, agents, employees, contractors, representatives, volunteers, and service providers (collectively, “Indemnitees”) from any and all claims arising out of or relating to the Minor’s purchase of a ticket to, attendance of, access to, or participation in Devcon.
3. The Parent/Guardian shall indemnify EF and hold EF harmless, together with the Indemnitees, from and against any and all claims, suits, causes of action, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees and court costs, of any kind whatsoever arising out of or in connection with: (a) the Minor’s admittance to, attendance of, access to, or participation in Devcon; (b) the purchase of a ticket for the Minor; (c) the Minor’s use of the Wristband or other credentials; (d) any breach of these Terms or the Devcon Terms by the Parent/Guardian or the Minor; or (e) any act or omission, neglect, or wrongdoing by the Parent/Guardian or the Minor.
4. This section shall survive the termination or expiration of these Terms.
DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
1. Except as required by law, neither EF nor its affiliates shall be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential costs, damages, or losses arising directly or indirectly from Devcon or any other aspect related thereto or in connection with these Terms or the Devcon Terms.
2. EF’s maximum aggregate liability for any claim in any way connected with or arising from Devcon, these Terms, or the Devcon Terms, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, including any negligent act or omission, shall be limited to the amount paid to EF by or on behalf of the Minor under these Terms and/or the Devcon Terms. The foregoing does not affect any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS, RULES, AND REGULATIONS
1. The Parent/Guardian acknowledges and agrees that they and the Minor are responsible for all personal property brought to Devcon.
2. The Parent/Guardian agrees, and shall ensure that the Minor agrees, to comply with these Terms, the Devcon Terms, all applicable Devcon rules and policies, all applicable laws, rules, ordinances, regulations, sanctions, export controls, immigration requirements, and other legal requirements that apply to the Parent/Guardian, the Minor, or the Minor’s purchase of a ticket to, attendance of, or participation in Devcon.
3. The Parent/Guardian agrees, and shall ensure that the Minor agrees, that the Minor’s purchase of a ticket to, attendance of, and participation in Devcon will not be for any unlawful purpose and will not violate, cause EF to violate, or assist in the violation of, any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, sanctions programme, export control, anti-money laundering law, anti-bribery law, anti-corruption law, counter-terrorism financing law, immigration requirement, or other legal restriction applicable to the Parent/Guardian, the Minor, EF, Devcon, the venue, payment providers, service providers, or the relevant transaction.
4. The Parent/Guardian understands and agrees that Devcon is an educational conference and is not a sales conference, employment job fair, investment conference, fundraising venue, financial promotion venue, or other type of conference. The Parent/Guardian shall ensure that the Minor does not engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, non-compliant, or unauthorised activity at or in connection with Devcon, including any unlawful or non-compliant solicitation, sale, marketing, fundraising, token sale, securities-related activity, financial promotion, investment activity, or other regulated activity.
5. To the extent permissible by law, the Parent/Guardian, on behalf of themselves and the Minor, waives any rights and claims for damages arising out of or relating to the enforcement of the Wristband control restrictions, the prohibited activities restrictions, the video restrictions, and the other restrictions expressly set forth in these Terms or the Devcon Terms.
WAIVER AND SEVERABILITY
1. No waiver by EF of any term or condition set out in these Terms or the Devcon Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or a waiver of any other term or condition, and any failure of EF to assert a right or provision under these Terms or the Devcon Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
2. If any provision of these Terms is held by a court, arbitral tribunal, or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent such that the remaining provisions of these Terms will continue in full force and effect.
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and all matters relating to Devcon shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, excluding treaties or international conventions such as the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, and without regard for conflicts of laws principles.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, including the validity, invalidity, breach, or termination thereof, shall be resolved by arbitration in accordance with the Swiss Rules of International Arbitration of the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution in force on the date on which the Notice of Arbitration is submitted in accordance with those Rules. The number of arbitrators shall be one. The seat of the arbitration shall be Zurich unless the parties agree on a different seat. The arbitral proceedings shall be conducted in English.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with the Devcon Terms, constitute the sole and entire agreement between the Parent/Guardian and EF with respect to the Parent/Guardian’s consent to the Minor’s purchase of a ticket to, admittance to, attendance of, access to, or participation in Devcon and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral, with respect to the same. The Parent/Guardian agrees that they have not accepted these Terms in reliance on, and shall have no remedy in respect of, any statement, representation, covenant, warranty, undertaking, or indemnity by any person other than as expressly set out in these Terms or the Devcon Terms.
